Inspiration : Heaven on Earth

From this weeks “On Earth As It Is In Heaven” article in the NY-Times Magazine, these brilliant black and white Alaska photographs were taken by Brazilian documentary photographer Sebastiao Salgado.

These photos remind me of how I had once imagined my life as a dedicated climber and mountaineer with a special urge to be lost in the undiscovered America’s.  Nowadays I channel those thoughts into the rooms I design by infusing a constant sense of discovery for the people who are to live in them.
