For a twenty fifth birthday party I am planning this Halloween weekend, I decided to use Sherlock Holmes as the party theme. The inspiration; a note of mystery to expresses the birthday girl’s anticipation of discovering the rest of her life, and a suggested cape as a Halloween costume that guest are encouraged to wear.

I made the background graphic by using the healing and clone tools in Photoshop to alter an original playbook cover featuring William Gillette as Sherlock Holmes (see image below). The font is assign and the map I made by tracing a Google map in illustrator. The magnify glass I applied by using the darken, blend option in photoshop.
